Every year Exeter City Council must agree a budget which balances the money we spend on services, with the money we have.
This means that the money we spend must balance with what we receive from Council Tax, Business Rates, government grants and income from our chargeable services.
The Council has received a three-year funding settlement from central government covering 2026/27, 2027/28 and 2028/29.
This gives us greater certainty when planning our finances. We currently expect to be able to propose a balanced budget for 2027/28 without cutting or reducing services, although inflation and growing demand continue to increase the costs associated with providing them.
The survey will take no longer that 5 minutes to complete
