During the summer of 2025, we asked for your feedback in our Residents Survey. The survey asked questions that explored perceptions of living in Exeter and the services provided by us. The survey opened on 9 July, and closed on 20 August 2025.
How we conducted the survey
The residents survey was carried out by an independent research company, Enventure Research, who conducted a representative survey of 1,100 residents in Exeter by telephone and face to face interviews. In addition to the the representative survey, an online version was available on our website for people to complete - we call this a self-select survey, which by its delivery method cannot be representative of Exeter's whole population.
The survey used the Local Government Association 'Are you being served?' method, allowing comparison of results with other Councils and the feedback residents provided in Exeter last year in 2024.
Results from the 2025 survey
In total 1100 people completed the representative survey delivered over the phone and face-to-face, by our research partner (Enventure Research), and 782 people completed the online self-select survey.
