Play Area Improvements

Exeter City Council is planning improvements to the play area at Harrington Lane Play Area. We want to ensure that the redesigned space meets the needs of local children, families, and the wider community who use the play area.

This short survey is part of our engagement process and will help us understand how the play area is currently used, what works well, and what could be improved. Your feedback will directly inform the design brief for the upgraded play space, ensuring it provides inclusive, engaging, and high-quality play opportunities for all ages.

What we want to achieve

• Identify any barriers to use, including accessibility, safety, or lack of provision
• Gather ideas on the types of play and equipment that should be included

What happens next

• The survey results will be reviewed and used to shape the design of the new play area
• A design proposal will then be developed, reflecting local priorities and best practice in play design
• Subject to approvals and funding, works will be programmed to align as closely as possible with the wider improvements at the site
