Exeter City Council is seeking views on its draft Cultural Strategy for 2026–31, which sets out a vision for culture, creativity, heritage and wellbeing in the city. The strategy aims to make Exeter a place where everyone feels creative confidence and can access, enjoy and take part in cultural life.
This survey asks for your feedback on the vision and themes in the strategy. Your responses will help shape how culture is supported, developed and delivered across Exeter over the next five years.
Several activities have taken place to date to support the development of the Cultural Strategy:
An evidence-led baseline analysis: An initial assessment of existing strategies, assets and sector trends to establish a strong evidence base.
Extensive inclusive engagement: A five‑month engagement programme, which ran from November 2025–March 2026, combined resident survey input with wide engagement across communities, young people, stakeholders and the creative sector.
Structured consultation shaping the strategy: Insights were tested and refined through workshops and a cultural summit.
Exeter City Council would like your views on the strategy. Whether you live, work or visit Exeter, you are invited to take part in this survey.
